Isn't this something (the monitoring/graphing) that RRD can do too? And SA can then integrate with RRD. In v4 only for roundtrip times, in v5 for the tests results too.

In addition, you'll need some scripting/programming skills that are definitely beyond me at the moment to make it go. That said, MRTG is a very cool tool, if you need to monitor SNMP-capable devices, and know which OIDs you wish to monitor. It's certainly the right tool for monitoring bandwidth utilization for an SNMP-capable network device, since the OIDs for those are usually quite well-known. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Dirk Bulinckx Sent: Wednesday, September 22, 2004 07:55 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [SA-list] Bandwidth SA is able to log into RRD. >From what I see MRTG is not realy monitor (since it can't alert to my knowledge), it's able to make graphs of bandwidth (and other things it can see via SNMP). What's the relationship between SA and MRTG (or other bandwidth monitoring tools). Where do SA's logging come into play with this sort of thing?
