How did you install? Directly on the system or via TS session? Did you reboot after the install? s Dirk. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of David Bruck Sent: Sunday, October 31, 2004 9:06 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [SA-list] Command Alerts Dirk, I installed the new beta version... Everytime the service starts now, I get this error: "ActiveX Component can't create object ( 429) on line 0" It appears to run okay though. Now I will go do more testing with the Alert Commands... If it's as a service are you using the system account to run it with or are you using a specified login? Are you including the full path to the executable in the command line, e.g. c:\somedir\executable.exe or just executable.exe Also, are you stopping SW before you check the log? The logfile is blank when it DOES work!! I can put an alert in to run notepad.exe, and it will run notepad - when it does this and works, there is NO ENTRY IN THE LOG! When it shows path not found or file not found, then it seems logical that it can't be executed. As for those were nothing is within the logfile, I can only presume that this means that the alert didn't fire because it didn't meet the conditions.
