Thank you for the suggestion, I went with TLS 1.0. I was able to get an 
'A' rating from the DigiCert inspector using TLS 1.0 and 1.2, I think 
due to using a restricted list of ciphers with OpenSSL 1.0.2 in my own 
application.   It's all working perfectly now.
