More so for myself, as after I had some personal
problems, and was completely lost with the SAM side of
things, Mack offered to step in and take things over
for me.

(Without going into all the details - I made a very
bad decision for a business partner to help me out,
and the person in question left me hospitalised and
stole all my belongings - including all my SAM
hardware.)

I was approached by dear Mr Brenchley at the time to
effectively retire from the SAM scene and work for
him. IE - him taking over my catalogue.

Malcolm basically offered to release all the current
Phoenix titles under his new Persona lable, (Persona
was used as a name by Malcolm for the programs he did
for the Sam supplement magazine) and get me working
officially as editor on his new magazine. In return,
he helped me get a new SAM set up and help me get back
on the SAM again. I had no interest in running
anything after the problems i'd had. But was certainly
happy to run a magazine.

After Malcolm died, my interest died. And it's only
down to Colin creating his magazine, and later the
SIAC I regained my interest.

Mack was a great chap, and Duncan was a great kid.
Although I dont have contact with the family since
Malcolms death, I wont have anything bad said about
him. I suspect he just doesnt want to see what his Dad
worked hard on ripped off - and just needs the correct
info concerning the games etc.
