Job Title: .Net Developer with Oracle PL/SQL
Location: Oak Brook, IL
Duration: 9 Months
Developer with experience in .Net and Oracle/PL/SQL. It’s a lot of
mod/enhancement work interfacing w/customers so I need good verbal
communication skills. They will learn an Oracle Product Line called MERLIN.
Job Description
• The candidate is expected to learn the capabilities of each
module within the MERLIN application (Oralce PLM for Process) and share
subject matter expertise with other teams.
• The candidate will provide L4 support for software incidents and
may provide on-call emergency support services for critical issues.
• Writes specifications that meet the business needs and comply
with applicable standards
• Determines application program design
• Executes and supports testing and implementation plans
• Develops and/or configures approved enhancements.
• Works with team on system upgrades
• Interfaces with vendors to troubleshoot, apply patches, and
ensures effectiveness of vendor supplied packages
• Interfaces with, Enterprise Application Support (EAS) staff and
Xerox infrastructure support team.
• Works with users from around the world which include US, Canada,
Europe, APMEA, Latin America. The majority of contact is through
conference calls and email, thus, the ideal candidate will
possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Limited domestic and international travel maybe required.
• Assists the project manager with project planning and estimating
• The candidate may work with Area of the World IT leads to
determine technical readiness for MERLIN
• The candidate may work with GIL and SPAN teams to improve
application performance and application security.
• Candidate will work closely with the Global Quality Assurance
teams during test cycles to provide subject matter expertise and make
decisions on defect assignment and priority.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of IT experience
• Solid experience with providing technical support for a web-based
vendor package
• Extensive experience with trouble-shooting technical issues
• Coordination and management of hardware and packaged software
upgrades
• Customer Focus - must be able to demonstrate great customer
service with both internal and external customers and commit to actions
that serve them and benefit the business
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize work and
deliverables effectively.
• Experienced with application and user security best practices
• Global application deployment or working with global teams a plus
