The administrator is required to have strong knowledge of software performance as related to San storage to troubleshoot issues. The administrator also would be required to upgrade, configure, install, tune, monitor, mentor, lead and participate in subject matter projects. Essential Functions: Maintain and manage critical core business SAN storage units and switches within the organization. Configure, maintain, monitor and enhance storage activities in coordination with different team members or groups within the organization. Generate scripts to perform system administration activities Provide support for on-call duties Maintain additional core appliances within the organization. Education: College diploma or University degree in computer science preferred Certifications in system architecture, design or maintenance Certifications in SAN Storage administration General Experience: 5+ years on managing and maintaining SAN storage units and fibre 5+ switches years with SAN architecture, design and enhancements years 5+ in SAN storage performance analysis and monitoring within the server 5+ and application activities years leading SAN projects and teams years 5+ in generating or modifying scripts in Shell, KornShell, Perl, C++ or 5+ similar languages 3+ years in maintaining and managing Tivioli Storage Manager or other 3+ backup methodologies years maintaining SAN replication between arrays 3+ in a multiple datacenter environment Computer Experience: Must have experience with IBM SAN Storage technologies Must have experience with Cisco fibre switch and zoning Must be able to scripting in Shell, KornShell, Perl, C++ or like languages Must be able to provide detail performance analysis within the SAN storage and components beyond the servers such as the switches, network and server connectivity utilizing tools or other methods Must be proficient with diagnostics tools for the SAN storage and servers Proficient on generating graphs using tools such as Excel or generating diagrams Microsoft system administration experience a plus Knowledge of Linux/ UNIX particularly AIX 6.1+, AIX 7.1, RHEL 5.x, 6.x and/or Vmware 5.x is a plus Additional Requirements: Extensive knowledge on design and connectivity of a multi SAN storage environment that has total 500 TBs or more of usable storage Extensive knowledge on fibre zoning and architecting Must have knowledge on SAN storage replication Must be able to forecast/capacity plan and provide recommended actions Proficient to lead projects and teams with minimal guidance from management Self-motivated and proactive Must have understanding on PCI compliancy Required on-call support duties that will include weekend and night time deployments Must be able to coordinate and function with different teams within the organizatio *Thanks & Rega**rds* *Sr. Technical Resource Specialist* *214-628-5329\ nik...@vastika.com <nik...@vastika.com>* *1200 W Walnut Hill Ln.
