Mind you, I'm not a translator by trade, I'm a programmer really (and
not even web normally!), but wanted to actually run a German store and
noticed it was making quite a bad impression.

I guess I can understand, from a conceptual POV, that when the modules
are split up and should eventually ship/be maintained separately their
translations need to be split out.

Still related to translations but unrelated to that particular issue,
there are some issues wrt. shipping times.

Most of the strings appear to be built as
(3 - 4)(business days)

or
(3 - 4 business days)

However, in German and I'm sure in other languages as well, there's a
difference between:

Expected delivery time: "3-4 business days"

and

Will ship in "3-4 business days".

The current translation is for the former, but the latter seems to be
actually used. Or are both used?

Also,

msgid "in %s business day"
msgid "in %s business days"

together should try to use ungettext() not ugettext(). It does not seem
to be easily possible though since the string passed in there (usps
module) could actually be "3-4"?

Also, a few places like

        return _("by %s" % self.delivery_days.replace('-', ' '))

should take into account international date formats and use django's
get_date_formats() and strftime I think.

Whew. I guess this is hard for you? I can't fix all the issues, but I
can go look through the modules that I actually need to use.
