Ha! Well clearly I didn't understand your question correctly, but at
any rate I am glad you are not talking about doing multiple/repeatable
satchmo installations on Windows!

But please help me understand: if VPS isn't an option, what is the
alternative you are proposing? It seems to me that a VPS is going to
be the cheapest, lowest-maintenance option available. I can get a
256MB VPS from slicehost for $20/month. From there I can fire up an
Ubuntu or Debian server and build out my environment using any of
several techniques -- a custom DEB package, buildout, pip, etc. Once
it's set up, there's really not much in the way of maintenance
unless/until I want to upgrade to a new version of satchmo.

Maybe things are different in China (?), but I just can't see a
cheaper / easier way than VPS.
