Actually, I've been pretty impressed with myself. I set up a ubuntu machine, got the base LAMP stack installed, ported over my wordpress site, and with only mild fussing it's all running happy. I also made the environment all happy for me; screen, tcsh and emacs make everything better.
Soon enough I'll be in business. I'll be selling electroluminescent wire and related products (and probably expand into other areas as well). This stuff makes for pretty decorations and is fun to work with. Check it out: www.seattlelumin.com I created a coupon code "saturdayhouse" that will give y'all 10% off on any purchases. -mike > I had no Linux experience and got myself a Linode slice last month. > Was forced to, actually, because my shared host complained > about high CPU usage and shut down my site. > > On Mar 12, 3:11 pm, "mike begley" <[email protected]> wrote: >> Awesome.
