Summer is tough, last year I was in SF all summer. This summer Sarah and I are both going to DC for the summer (June 1st to August 31). A lot of people come to Seattle for the summer to intern at tech companies you may need a way to find them and reach out to them directly,
Long term Saturday House does need more directed actives just hanging around and killing time on my laptop feels like work not the creative play I enjoy. The TED talk night Sarah and I hosted went great, we are very likely to do it again in the Fall. The book discussion that Lion ran was also great, a lot of people showed up for hardware hacking (Arduino) . A key to increasing participation is planning some activities that let people share explore new ideas. A bar camp session on planing summer events at Saturday house might be helpful. GL, Brian PS I will be missing basr camp Seattle but will be at Bar Camp Portland so head down to Portland if you want to do Power Point Karaoke P On Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 1:22 PM, phil.h.smith <[email protected]>wrote: > > The hackerspace article (via my universal content filter, the girl > friend) just hooked me; I'll be swinging by this weekend.. > > On Mar 30, 10:25 am, Robert Eickmann <[email protected]> wrote: > > Saturday House is dying.
