Follow-up Comment #23, task #2874 (project savane):
Does #verbatim# tag imply fixed-width font? If it does, then it makes
escaping unintended markup clumsy, else there is a need for code-introduction
tag.
In either case, I propose #code# or some similar tag. It should turn on
fixed-width font and be translated to <code> HTML tag, which carries
semantical meaning. Whether or not it should imply #verbatim#, I'm not sure.
Implying is convenient, but orthogonal tags give greater flexibility...
