Follow-up Comment #4, bug #6880 (project savane):
There's only one things that annoys me with flock: locks are always trashed
even if the process was killed. In some occasions, the lock should not be
removed, because the process would then restart and maybe cause things to get
worse.
For instance, if sv_groups fails, you definitely not want sv_users to run,
because it may do unexpected things caused by an incomplete run of
sv_groups.
In some other cases, like sv_gpgcheckfiles, the fact that a lock stays means
that the process went wrong. Usually, you would return stuff on STDERR when
the error happen, but in this case you cannot because gpg send plenty of
garbage on STDERR...
