Follow-up Comment #7, task #16686 (group administration): [comment #5 comment #5:] >>> Ok, I added a COPYING.LESSER file in that subdir >> And of course a copy of GPLv3 since it's part of LGPLv3, didn't you? > > No. Nobody ever told me to do this, not even when I registered GNU G-olf, nor > Guile-CV. I'll fix those projects as well, asap.
This omission is quite common. Probably FSF's licensing team should work on this. > commit 715a7529ff4a9b9bbed8fe45676c50bb70798032 (HEAD -> master) > Author: David Pirotte <[email protected]> > Date: Tue Oct 21 18:05:49 2025 -0300 > > Adding missing license version copies > > * COPYING.LESSER.v2.1: > * COPYING.LESSER.v3: > * COPYING.v2: > * COPYING.v3: According to savannah admins, the project must distribute > a cooy of all lcenses invlolved in the project, and LGPL depends on > the GPL corresponding version, so those must be distributed as well, > > * Makefile.am: Updated for the above. > > Is this ok? Yes; just two minor notes, * COPYING.v2 isn't an exact copy from https://www.gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/gpl-2.0.txt: it has paragraphs unwrapped into long lines and a few extra characters at the bottom. * In the guidelines, the URL in the license notice doesn't specify the particular license: https://www.gnu.org/licenses/. (In particular, files like f-synth-dev.scm mistype the file name, ".../licenses/lglp.html".) > I just can't make this work. I have uploaded it here Hmm. But I can see the files attached to your comment, and no sign of error on the screenshot. The files should be attached when the 'Submit changes and browse items' or the 'Submit changes and return to this item' button is pushed. Do you remember if you did something different? _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.nongnu.org/task/?16686> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.nongnu.org/
