Well it is a moving target, specially in these days... I wouldn't know what to advice. I try to be as conservative as possible (for what means me being conservative..) but sometimes shit happen. The most sensible issue was some default parameter introduced by the video branch, but it was reverted so it is fine now. On the other hand, there are some long lasting improvements that may interest people. We didn't post on them, but it is nice that people try and report issues on these features. For the record, I can think of: * speex input/output support: input is fine, output doesn't seem to have a decent quality. I believe it is connected to the lack of bindings for the audio treatements in speex. * external support for audio encoders/decoders (add_format, output.icecast.external, output.file.external, output.pipe.external), in particular default FLAC and M4A/AAC+ when the binaries are found or mplayer supported formats, when enabled. Also output.icecast.lame which will allow to send MP3 data without being compiled against lame, which is not possible in debian, and the possibility to output to icecast in other codecs when libshout is patched to set content-type.
