I ran that tests and at the evidence, there is an issue.

The MP3 file is the one encoded thru audacity / liblame (128kbit/s / 
stéréo) directly from the original lossless source.
In the WAV file (44.1k/16b) I have recorded the LS 128kbit/s output 
stream (so, thru IceCast and played with foobar2000)
