Dear Friends from the DIRAC community,

Kdenlive 0.7 is out: http://www.kdenlive.org
kdenlive is a major step in video editing under GNU/Linux.
If you use Debian, it was publised to Debian-multimedia repositories.

We were not able to integrate export in Dirac, because of lack of audio
demuxing. I hope that we can collaborate to rely more on Dirac to
propose a working solution for non-destuctive editing.

By the way, we need more media for testing purpose.

Do not hesitate to collaborate in Kdenlive development, so that you
benifit from a complete production chain : kdenlive for editing videos,
VLC for viewing, etc ... IMHO, this is the way to help the adoption of
DIRAC.

I really hope that Kdenlive next version 0.7.1 will be able to read and
export to DIRAC, using a simple dual-core computer, without too much
hastle.

May I suggest to propose a working solution under ffmpeg ... and then
use it directly under Kdenlive. Maybe you could get access to ffmpeg
repository OR use libschroedinger or any library to read/export as an
ffmpeg binding.

Kind regards,
Jean-Michel
