An alternative to get the moves is marking them in the pgn
window and use standard copy&past. (Comes in handy e.g. if
oyu need a scoresheet like table.)

No, I don't think this is exact.

Things get a bit involved here. You have the usual systems
Clipboard, you can copy a game's PGN from PGN via "File /
Copy to Clipboard" or you can copy any text to this
clipboard by the usual functions you have for clipboard
handling. E.g. on Unix/X11 if you mark a piece of text it
gets copied to this clipboard automatically. (On Windows you
mark it an press Ctrl-Ins.) On Unix you can then paste this
text by the middle mouse button click (on Windows it would
be Shift-Ins.)
This clipboard is also used if you copy a position to the
clibpoard. Then, the clipboard holds the FEN of the current
position. Again we speak about the systems clipboard.
So to say, the clipboard is some sort of interface for Scid
to talk to the outside world, and it is exactly the same
clipboard that is used by your editor or text processor or
whatever. Its just the systems clipboard.

This is IMHO a very important point that should be made
clear in the tutorial. Agree.

That's REALLY good news! :) I hope I can be of some help to
this heroic efford though I fear I'm not able to contribute
much text. (BTW: I recently updated some minor things for
CC, this part should be up to date in en and de.)
