Never mind :-) . The problem is there if the comment editor is open, 
independent from docking status.

I will see if I can find the root cause, since Pascal seems to be happy.

I remember there used to be a problem in older Scid versions which might 
be related, although the appearance is almost opposite: If you enter a 
variation after having commented the main move, the comment for the main 
move is also applied to the alternative move.
This problem is gone - at least, it does no longer reproduce as I 
remember it.
