Interesting conversation this has sparked: who is the most successful
Star Trek alum of all time? And, how does one define "success" for an
actor? Career longevity? Variety of projects, such as stage and screen,
commericials and voiceover, as well as TV?  Critical acclaim? Mass
appeal with the mainstream audience? Overall income?
Since there are eleventy-million Trekkies out there, I'm sure this topic
has come up before. I'll see what Google has to say on it. :)

The most successful Star Trek actor of all time is Michael Dorn. Just
so we're clear. Nobody else has done more episodes or movies. The man
has done more Star Trek than Gene. The man even makes more per
autograph, as they are so rare. Shatner is up there because of his
varied projects, and yes, as of Friday, Stewart  will  be on the top
5 list. But he will only then be eclipsing Jon Frakes, who  has not
only directed feature films post TNG,  but been involved with 2 (or
is it 3?)  TV series in a producer/host/sortacreator capacity.

world? Brooks is very successful, but of course, he's so powerful in
the university, music, and stage worlds... Mulgrew does well with
plays, though not so much on TV. She's done lots of voiceover work,
including playing the Fairy Queen on "Gargoyles".

Shatner is probably the most consistently visible--even moreso than
Professor X himself. Is he the most successful? Don't know: who makes
the most bank among the Trek alums?
