"Pitfall". Oh Gawd, that's funny! I guess I don't care about the name either.
I could care less about the attachment to a video game. Like I said, the main
thing I saw was that Jolie could care a better crafted film, and that her and
Butler in teh second movie were so good together, I kept thinking "They need to
gave those two a spy flick and dump the tomb raiding stuff".

I have an even better suggestion. How about we not make another Tomb Raider movie --  ever -- and write a set of new scripts for a whole new action franchise?

No? Gotta have a movie based on something that exists?  Okay, how about we look through the thousands of comic book titles with female action leads? What about "Danger Girl"? "Codename Knockout"?  "Christian"? "Athena"?

Let's just  be honest. Most  of the audience for these movies hasn't played a Tomb Raider game in like 10 years. We may as well be fantasy casting "Pitfall".

My choice would be Zuleikha Robinson from Rome and The Namesake.
She's probably a bit too exotic for Hollywood to cast but I think
she'd do well in the role.

Agreed. Every time there's a movie role for a young woman nowadays,
her name comes up. Now I can't deny she's easy on the eyes, but
again, I haven't seen that she's a great actress, even an action
type. Jolie, for all her overexposure, is a good actress. As for
Wonder Woman, I feel Fox is too slight of build for that role. To
play the Amazon queen, they really need a statuesque woman, somehow
with a build similar to Gina Torres or Lucy Lawless.

A talented newbie is fine for me, even--gasp!--something radical like
a real Brit for Croft and a Greek actress for Prince!
