"The Hurt Locker" is the #1 movie in America under 100 million dollars. It's not really indie, but it's not Transformers. And it's excellent.

"Evangelion 2.0" is the #1 movie in Japan, and the biggest anime movie in the world at this moment. Not sure where it's playing in the US.

"New York" is the #1 Bollywood movie in the world. And it's excellent. And it's playing in the US.

"The Code" is the #1 DVD rental this week, it stars Morgan Freeman. It's great fun.

"Transformers 2" is big and loud and everybody's doing it. Not saying DON'T see it, but ya DO have options.

Personally, I'm doing "Blade Runner" Blu Ray tonight. Did Farscape this morning, then did a day of Justice League with the family.

Milton, ignore what Augustus said. Just don't see this movie. It will make you a worse person. Seeing this movie is the moral equivalent of shoplifting a bag of socks.

Milton, overlook what Justin said. go and see the movie. like the last post said. it's just good mind numbing 2 1/2 hours of fun.

Do you hate yourself? If so, go see Transformers. Otherwise, run far away.

Always a good Plan B. I just finished A. Lee Martinez's Monster (awesome Gaimanesque fun) and I have Warren Fahy's Fragment in addition to some other things in the to be read pile.

I might finally get to watch Let The Right One In in addition to Blade Runner. I finally watched Caprica the other night and managed to sit through 3 minutes of The Spirit before I gave up.

Is anyone going to the movies, watching the Twilight Zone marathon or doing anything else fun or exciting this weekend?
