I think that people are looking at books being more disposable than
something that you keep and share with friends. Its also a little cheaper to
have the e-book copy. They are doing a lot of business with colleges now and
e-book textbooks.

The problem with that is you won't be able to luck out and buy a cheap used
copy of a text book for that math class. They can also remove your access to
the book at any time.
