>How much for the clutch kit. I have a s-trim on my 98 & I am getting ready

--I'm working up price listings right now for 5.0 and 4.6 liter Mustang
clutch kits. They'll be available in kevlar/kevlar or kevlar/organic. For
higher hp cars that see a lot of racing, the kevlar/kevlar is ideal. As
for pressure plates, the stock Cobra plate is ideal and delivers quite a
bit of clamping force. Forces are as follows:
Zoom=1,700 lb.
Center Force DF=1,800 lb. (relies on centrifugal weights to give more force)
King Cobra=2,100-2,800 lb. (Ford has changed their pressure plates at least
three times, so force varies)
Stock Cobra=2,700-2,800 lb.

Obviously, the stock Cobra pressure plate affords a nice pedal effort, so
that's ideal, and it gives a lot of clamping force. If the pressure plate
isn't totally heat-spotted, it can be retained, and a new disc can be used.
If you're interested in one of these clutches for your Mustang, please
