fwiw, the first tune I learned on whistle was O'Donnell Abu. I don't think
it fits any of your criteria... I still enjoy playing it. The whistle tutor
I have (by Cathal McConnell) starts out with that in D and G as the 2nd and
3rd tunes. I learned the first tune (It's Not Yet Day) later.
