4. Which town held Scotland's first folk festival in 1964?
Blairgowrie or Newcastleton. I thought Blairgowrie was first but I also thought it dated back to the late fifties. There's a bit about it in Hamish Henderson's collected writings 'Alias McAlias', but since I don't own a copy I can't look it up.
