Please, does anyone here know about the musicologist Annie G. Gilchrist? I keep coming across her name...first in Frances Tolmie's collection of "Songs of Occupation" (Journal of the Folk Song Society) and now, most recently, in the introduction to R.R. Terry's published version of the 1635 Scottish Psalter.

All I can ascertain is that she was a "folk song expert" and was related to Dr. Neil Livingston, Free Kirk minister of Stair by Ayr (that bit from Terry). But, except for finding her name popping up at me when I least expect it, I can't *find* anything when I go to look for her. So, any help...direction...a book reference...an obscure website...would be appreciated. I don't even know her dates or where she lived.

Thank you!
