Thanks for all the help.  The HD was a 4.3Gig but I have a 6Gig HD on hdd 
which had /home and /usr on it.   hda was just a windows partition and the 
rest of the / stuff.

I've repartitioned the good disk and reinstalled Mandrake 7.2.

Good excuse to finally get rid of Windows anyway.

Just save beer money now for a new BIG HD
