I am successfully using a card from lifeview called
flyvideo98, its a bttv compatible card which means
setting it up as is simple as modprobe bttv and in
fact you don't even need to do that since i think
kudzu will do it for you,
on the back it has standard av connector, svhs ir
including reciever and remote and some sound/phono
connectors, it cost 50 about 6 months ago.
Once you have the module loaded or you compile it in
it uses standard Video4Linux devices so you can use
any V4L viewer such as Kwintv xawtv etc etc.
Only problems you might have is if you have a v4l
webcam or other device as i had issues with software
not knowing which device to use but apart from that it
works a charm.
