Sorry for the OT'ness, but I'm guessing that there's a good
correlation between linux geekness and perl ability.
I need someone to take some existing GPL'ed perl which
produces documentation from program language source and
modify it to handle a different language. While we'll
pay for the work, the result would obviously remain
open source and be GPL'ed.
There are about 2K lines of object oriented perl. I reckon
the relevant bits are in a small number of modules, with
one in particular doing the syntax-recognising smarts.
I think it could be done over a fortnight of intensive evenings.
I need it by the end of August, so I need the person quickly.
The right person may find other such work going their way
from time to time. A plus point would be if the person knew
Python at least as well as Perl, since a port is likely. Oh, the current
tools parses VHDL (ADA-like syntax) and the new target language
is Java-like, so ADA and Java knowledge would allow you to modify the
parsing mechanism more easily.
Any suggestions?
(Any *offers* would best be accompanied by examples of
your perl-ability.)
