This question has been raised before, but it was felt that one of the
secrets to the success of SLUG has been its informality, and lack of
'structure', which has been partly attributed to not having a membership
fee, and therefore not having to have a bank account/formal statement of
purpose,etc,etc.
If it were decided that SLUG should consider corporate membership, I think
it should be on one-off "let's chip in to help a Linux Company" rather than
deciding we should start paying fees for SLUG. Keep it informal and
flexible.
