Hey everyone!
I'm still around although not as active as I used to be.
I don't have the leisure of sitting at a desk all day like I used to, ahh
the good ole days. Now I'm on the production floor and only get to spend an
hour or so on the computer each day.

Good answers to the loading questions posed today. I've always used the 3
finger down on the front and 4 fingers down on the back for design
placement.

Group,
My guess is that most printers are now on the "chat style forum" offered by
screenprinters.net You can also have that sent to your e-mail, which is
what I do.
I've seen several familiar names when reading through their "chats".
I do however miss the old list, the input from John Sheridan, Brian at Texas
T's, and others was like having an experienced professional at your side.

It really isn't rocket science....it just seems that way at first. Once you
"get it" it is like riding a bike (with a few curves in the road :) )
the thing about screen printing is you never stop learning. There is always
a new challenge. I guess that's the rewarding part. Conquering new
challenges!

As for Where to print. We try alot of stuff on. (I'm a small, my hubby an
XL, my sons Med.) Just put it on and use a copy of your design on paper to
decide where to place it. We now only have to do this when we get an item
that is cut differently than what we normally print. There are some set
guide lines, however, you have to use your own discretion. Yes the collar
placement is all over the place, so are the pockets, and the hood will hang
down 5" on one hooded sweatshirt and 7" on the next one. If you want to feel
better about your placement and your screen printing just go to the mall and
really look at some of the crap they are selling for big $$$ in the stores.
Alot of it would go in the "shirts to use for test printing" box at my shop.
I am very fussy.

As for the guidelines on placement and placing a shirt on the platen, I have
some old e-mails saved from this list from "back in the day" when it was a
hot bed of information. I will dig them out and forward them later today.
