Before I go into this, I'd like to say I'm a HUGE Foo Fighters fan and I
don't think Nate would ever leave them to go back to SDRE. The reason that
Chris was playing bass for the Foos a while ago was because Nate was sick
with the flu or something. He has no intention of leaving as far as I know,
and has become a big part of the Foo Fighters.

I wish I shared your confidence about Dan or Jeremy playing bass on the
record, but I think it would suck if they did. Not that either isn't
talented
enough to pull off good bass playing, but an SDRE album deserves better.
Whether he was "the shark's private fuck" or not, Nate's bass on diary and
the pink album was awesome and a big part of what made those records great.
I
missed it (among other things) on HIFTBSO and I'll keep on missing it until
they find someone that approaches Nate's sound and ability. I also think
they
should go back to recording with a producer from outside of the band, but
that's something else entirely.

hello again everybody,
Mike
