Hello Amar and everybody, The problem seems to have gone since I detached a cable which connected my mp3 player. I left the cord plugged into the USB port for about two years. When necessary, I plugged my transcend mp3 player on one end of the cord. But the other edn of the cord was always attached to the pc. Yesterday I noticed the change after I removed the cord. My pen drive does not autoplay. I never allowed it. Anyway, the virus came from my pen drive. I write everything on my pen drive because I use computer at home, at my office and at my organisation almost everyday. So I have to save everything there. I shall take care in future, of course. Hi, Make sure auto run facility is disabled in your computer in future. Always scan the external disks before opening them. 99% of the viruses act through auto run only.
