Mr. Sharma, Rajesh is right. I have always given the name of my escort and it
has always been printed on my ticket. I don’t know anything about changing the
escort. Kanchan

But previously, on a concessional ticket booked over the counter, we did not
require to mention the name of the escort. The only specified column was:
with/without escort.
No identification, no name etc. So we could have the escort of our choice.
In the present case, if an escort refuses to come along at the last minute and
we have the option to replace him with another, we cannot do this. That must be
made known to the railway officials.

handicapped/escort/general. for the escort ID card details are automatically
filled and you must fill up his/her id card details extra i.e. voters id its
number etc. After entering the OTP when you hit the 'go'
button, you get all the details regarding concessional fair availability
etc. Thereafter the process is same as for other transactions.

2015-09-20 Thread vivek doddamani
Friends, today I faced another problem while trying to book ticket by
using NVDA at home I use JAWS on Windows 8.1 in my office I use NVDA
on windows 7 in NVDA I could not check while checking visually
handicapped person while logging in many times I pressed space bar for
checking the visually handicapped person but all times I heard check
box not checked so NVDA experts please write how to check any check
boxes when they are unchecked I always used space bar I am using NVDA
in my office for the last one year I never face such problem, is there
any other way to check other than space bar I even used enter key also
for checking the box but could not do.

Re: [AI] requesting step by step to book railway ticket online through IRCTC by using Disabled ID card

2015-09-20 Thread SKYLINER
Hi.

You can locate checkbox by moving to it with your left/right cursor with
controls to exactly touch the check/uncheck this box by space. I also coped
this problem a number of time earlier while navigating my official web page in
my office with NBDA, but now the trick has worked & I easily find the check box
by moving to it with cntrl+right/left arrows & then space it.

I take this occasion to thank Vivek for suggesting us to visit the place
personally & sort out the ID card as he did so as this could be one of the
reasons why my card still did not reach me.

Re: [AI] requesting step by step to book railway ticket online through IRCTC by using Disabled ID card

2015-09-19 Thread Aaruni Sharma
Hi, I have successfully booked 3 tickets so far. Haven't faced such issue.
There may be a network issue with your mobile carrier. I have a vodafone
connection and I receive the OTP as soon as I hit the 'verrify', and the
'book now' buttons. You must be very careful about the exact details on the
card. For example, the railway officials added 'Mr' in front of my name and
I must type it exactly as it appears. You must also type the ID number
along with the alphabets signifying your railway zone and the allotted
number your date of birth comes after the ID number and then comes the
expiry date of the card. the secret code is only the OTP you receive on
your mobile. before that you must also choose the appropriate category i.e.
handicapped/escort/general. for the escort ID card details are
automatically filled and you must fill up his/her id card details extra
i.e. voters id its number etc. After entering the OTP when you hit the 'go'
button, you get all the details regarding concessional fair availability
etc. Thereafter the process is same as for other transactions.
