you talking about the smart antenna for uplink?
It does help preserve upload capacity where there is directional
interference, like a champ.
I always wanted them to make an omni version to make omnis great again. the
primary issue with omnis, aside from gain and tilt is 360 degree
interference. id love to cut that into 45 degree slices

Re: [AFMUG] OT: That time of year

2021-11-11 Thread Chuck McCown via AF
I have the same thing in the morning in my home office.
I have some marks on the floor of the entry way and family room in my house
showing the extreme limits of the sun in the summer and winter.
I have always though of making a 25’ long brass strip, embed it in a slot in
the floor and have dates marked on it. Kinda a sun calendar.
You would have to know which half of the year you were in. And it would be off
on leap years.

Just watched some youtube videos about gluing hdpe. You have to flame treat
the glue area first or it will not stick.
I presume the flame treatment actually changes the molecules in the glue zone
to be some other chemical.

We've seen high 900MHz interference from the local utility cause GPS
issues. The thin wire of
the GPS puck is what appears to be the issue. If you use an external sync
source with a
thicker LMR cable, that may resolve your issue.

Vegas? They have worked really well for us on our EPMP3000 deployments
in high noise environments.
