The Prism Gen 2 uses "standard" UBNT passive 24v POE. +4,5 -7,8. I've
seen netonix switches claiming as much as 12 watts draw from one when
running. I wouldn't be surprised if their startup draw may be a bit higher.

Re: [AFMUG] RF Calibration Failure ADI Catalina R0 chip not supported!

2018-03-23 Thread Jacob Barnard

Hey Andreas,

What Firmware version are you running?  Cambium had an FPGA fix
implemented for some of the fail cases of this nature with these in
v14.1.2(+).  If you're already deployed with that or higher, however,
you're quite unfortunately looking at a chipset defect which you will
have to RMA replace.

Re: [AFMUG] Cambium repair times?

2018-02-22 Thread Jacob Barnard

Hey Seth,

Long time lurker here, thanks for giving me an excuse to get out of the
shadows - we've had turn around times stretching 3-4 months on ptp820x
equipment repairs: we send them to Cambium, Cambium sends them to
Ceragon in Israel and forgets about them, they eventually get shipped
back to Cambium after all parties have forgotten about them and we get
surprised when they show up.

Re: [AFMUG] Is POE out settings on new powerbox pro different?

2017-07-07 Thread Jacob Turner
Sounds like you may not have enough current to power on all of the prisms.
You certainly want a 24v 2.5A power supply at least. You also may have to
use the barrel plug instead of POE in to get enough juice.

Re: [AFMUG] ePMP1000 Max PTP length

2017-03-30 Thread Jacob Turner
If you can deal with the slightly higher latency involved in running
tdd-ptp mode I'm not sure that there is a hard limit for ePMP. If there is
it is likely 60+ miles. Running ePTP mode though there are distance limits
of 32 miles for 20Mhz and 15 Miles for 40Mhz.

My guess would be something is causing the probe script to hang, but

Apparently they tested and they can kick probes

The entire network monitoring component seems to
be croaked. Ive removed mirrors, minimized down to

restarted the billing server, cussed and got
