  Thank you. I downloaded it on my XP, thinking I'm good. Nope, had 10
problems. I don't think they were causing me any troubles as they all were
after the last 0 I had forgotten a coma before description on some and no
space after last comma on others before description. This will come in

  Thank you for all that you do. Question, I only listened to the telemetry
last pass,I didn't listen for the transponder, so I can list it as
downlinkonly but don't want to send the message that the transponder
may of not
been working. I wonder if a separate category  for telemetry like the
ISSwould be beneficial ?

  SATPC32ISS should fix you up. Look at SATPC32 in your programs folder, it
should be there.
I'm not sure about the TS 2000, I use Icom 910 but that shouldn't matter.
With SATPC32ISS it
should set your radio int  split mode with the 2 frequencies that you need
for voice. However if
you are trying for the 145.825 simplex if you have it input in the Doppler
Sqf in Auxiliary Files
under the question mark on the tool bar of Satpc32 it should show up in the
CAT, then click
on the frequency.  Clear as mud isn't it ? I may not of described it very
well but if you look in
these areas it may help you out. If you need more help just ask

  If your looking for a AZ EL rotor, there is an Alfa Spid on ebay now.
That has a very good price. This is the same one I have and it, in my
opinion, is a much better rotor than the Yaesu. The starting price is about
a third of a new one. And they state it's never been outside.

  What I do ( and I'm not sure I'm right,but seems to work ) is to use the
North star to calibrate. I live at 41.2* latitude, so if I crank my
antennas to 41* elevation and point north 0* azimuth I should be pretty
close. I also live at 1* magnetic declination, not much so I don't worry
much about that. Now I don't do much EME as I don't have any power, but
I've monitored EME and this seems to get me pretty close. I will also be
glad to see what others do to calibrate.

  Steve,N9IP gave a very good tutorial on how to set up. The one thing
that he said that took me a while to figure out was to make sure you get a
nice clean path to adjust your uplink. You see we are coming to the time of
year that the tree's are filling up with water and if your pointing at a
satellite through the tree's your down link might sound distorted to you,
but be just fine to every one else. So if you can, try to get as clean of a
path as you can to adjust. This is more noticeable on SSB birds than it is
on the FM birds.

  I also have a 910H and I use AGWPE ,UISS for software and a Rigblaster
for interface.
And it all plays nice. The thing about AGWPE and UISS is that their free
and a great way
to start out to see how you like it.

Gentlemen

  Great work,very informative. As I read the article I wondered to myself 
how my homebrew portable satellite antenna would stack up ? The Tape Measure 
Beam. I don't expect any results, as one could spend a lifetime analyzing 
everyone's homebrew antennas. But topics like this it just goes to show that 
there are many many options and some at little expense to get on the birds.
