Re: Need to send a Complex Structure in a WS Call

2007-12-11 Thread Rawat, Jaspal
Basically I need to send multiple records in the INPUT mapping and I am doing
that by
creating one Primary record and then these multiple records as a child records
for this Primary records

I am building the mapping in the same way as we do it for Output mapping when
there is a complex type WS

Jaspal,

Have you tested the web service that you created using a standard test tool
such as SOAP Sonar?

I would suggest you run a test using such a tool, and if you get no error
there, then perhaps the system that is consuming this web service has a problem
mapping the returned output..

Need to send a Complex Structure in a WS Call

2007-12-07 Thread Rawat, Jaspal
Group,
I am getting error
"ARERR [8940] Error during XML definition parsing"

I need to send a complex structure as a input in a Web Service Call and get
back the Complex structure back

Here is how my data looks for Input mapping

In FormA, I have one record as
SessionID

In Form FormB, I have the matching data for the above session ID

SessionID, Data1
SessionID, Data2
SessionID, Data3

Here is how I have setup the input Mapping looks like
WSDLFORM
ROOT   ==>   FORM A
Context
SessionID ==>   SessionID
Request
LIST==>  FORM B
InputData==>InputData(This will be a List of Data
matching the session ID in Form B, Will be having > 1 record)

The Output that I will get back will be in the FormB
SessionID, Data1,ReturnVal1
SessionID, Data2,ReturnVal2
SessionID, Data3,ReturnVal3

I am able to setup the input mapping and as well as output mapping, But for
some reason, When I try to initiate the WS Call, I get the error as
"ARERR [8940] Error during XML definition parsing"

I am sure that the output mapping is correct because I have implemented similar
functionality for some other WF.

I am on ARS 7.1 version

Check the Server name in the Midtier Remedy Config Tool->AR Server
Setting.

Add this server to the list.

If this doesn't work, Check the User Preferences in the User tool in
Home Page Tab.

Re: Sync Search Database getting Wiped out daily

2007-04-09 Thread Rawat, Jaspal
Actually there was an escalation, that I didn't knew abt, which was
running nightly.
It was a two step run process so that we could have the latest Synced
Search DB.

1. Application-Query-Delete-Entry "object_search_admin" 1=1
2. CMD /C ARAdmin.exe -x $SERVER$ -u Webservice -p pipeline -portnum
2112 -s

The second run process was not running because the PATH variable was not
having the Remedy binaries path included.

Well, until you find out what's doing it (perhaps a DB
backup/restore process?) you could do an export of those forms and their
data each night. Make them into a deployable application to make that
process easier.

Re: Table Fields

2006-12-19 Thread Rawat, Jaspal

'Table Field' stores a value of the row number which is selected. If
none is selected, It will return 0 doesn't matter if there are any rows
in table or not

So I think, You need to refresh and use Last Count to see if there are
any records in the table or not

Mike, for that to work you have to make sure that your table field is
refreshed and the table field has the right options in its advanced
display such as retain selection or select first request etc.. with no
selection you would get a null return.

When you have retain your selection on refresh, if the selection that
was previously chosen has been deleted or removed due to change on that
entry, then there will be no selection causing a null return again..

I missed something. What's wrong with 'Table Field' = $NULL$? I'm not
sure how you're using it, though. I just added a table field and button
to
a test form, and a new AL, triggered by the button, with a Run If 'Table
Field' = $NULL$. If action displays a message

It's null

and Else action displays a message

It's not null, instead it's value is $Table Field$

I tested both scenarios and it worked fine. I'm running ARS 6.0.1,
patch
1497.

The "value" of 'Table Field" (the name of your table field) is the
current
row number. It's null if there are no rows in the table field. It's 0
if
there are rows, but none has been selected. It's > 0 if a row is
selected.

You'll want to make sure that you refreshed the table field before
testing
it, and that no other workflow or user action cleared the table field.

Well darn Sharon - don't you just hate it when that happens? I did have
a similar experience recently. After almost shooting myself in the head
to stop the pain, I got our Desktop support people looking into the
situation. Turns out that this was never a Remedy issue, but something
wrong with the original image installation on the one users workstation.
Everyone swore it was a Remedy problem, but I could prove it wasn't
because my user and other users set up the same, could perform great on
any other machine, just not on this one machine. It drove us nuts for
almost a month, but once they built out a new workstation for her from
the ground up very carefully, it resolved her problem. Don't know if
this helps, but it's what I was screaming about for a very long time.
In this case, it was search menus, not tables, but I'd recommend looking
into it. The user's environment was Win XP SP2 also, but ARS 6.3 - Win
2003 SQL 2000 SP 4. Pretty close.

a little while we are unable to select rows in a table. No one else has
this problem. No workflow has been changed. The same user logged in on

Upon logging in / clicking Helpdesk link for a requester
they receive the message 'ARWARN [59] No such user exists --

This is new in 7.0.1 - i just checked on 7.0.0 p2 and it doesn't display
it upon logging in via the web. It will display if using the windows

user tool.

My question is : is there any way to disable this? Most users are not

Anyone have any suggestions?

Good morning listers,

Platform currently:
Solaris 9
Oracle 9i2
ARS 6.3 patch 14
Midtier 6.3 patch 15

To conform with data privacy initiatives we must upgrade Oracle 9i2 to

certain issues started to emerge. On a test platform (ARS 7.0.1/Oracle
10gR2

far, however, if anyone is running on a similar platform and has any

certainly appreciate any feedback.
