Re: Problem while integrating Midtier 7.1 with Crystal Report Server XI

2009-03-30 Thread Salma Begum
Hi Rod,

Thanks for the reply. If i take default port for Crsytal then wat about
ARWebReportViewer it also required Tomcat and wheni install this on crystal
server it is not able to detect the webserver which i installed wiht crystal
server , So i need to use another tomcat with different port for
ARWebReportViewer.

Please suggest , How did u manage this .

Salma

Hi Salma,

I don't think you're far away. Why did you update the report type form? If
you specify the server correctly in your mid-tier report set up then I don't
think you need to change this.

I would make sure that your reports use the same datasource as the one
defined on the crystal server. I don't use the default data source name as I
use one BOXI server to serve up reports for several different Remedy
servers. I create a system data source for each Remedy server.

I use the default port for web reporting (80) so don't need to specify
anything other than http://crystalserver in the BOXI report server location.
A report (rpt file) is generated in folders beneath the reporting working
directory on the crystal report server. Find out if this report is being
created when you run your report. If it is have a look at it and make sure
that it can be opened and run in crystal.

Salma,

I don't see that you listed out performing the steps on pages 178-179 of the MT
Installation Guide, to configure the Report Application Server parameters. Was
that completed?
