Re: Entombed with NVDA?

Personally sinse Entombed doesn't support supernova I just use sapi and don't have an issue, though I will note that yes, entombed ii is! still in development and also yes, it supports nvda, along with Supernova, Jaws,Window eyes and sapi and I believe system access though I'm less certain on that one.

Re: Entombed with NVDA?

Hi.After nearly losing this, I have the System Access to NVDA driver. If anyone wants the driver to make NVDA appear like System Access, download it with this link.https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/134 … r_NVDA.zipIn order to use it, just put the files in the folder that contains the system access files. You may have to replace some stuff so backing up the original file might be a good idea. For Entombed, put everything under entombed\external.Then, open Entombed and set speech to System Access and it should start talking through NVDA.The only bad point is it pauses a lot during battles, but I was able to play a game of Entombed using NVDA for output. It's a lot better than sapi since it can be interrupted. Plus, I was able to use Ava which made Entombed a lot better hahaha.Enjoy.I wish some of these developers would come back and add NVDA support, but I guess this works.By the way, I did not make this add-on. I am just passing it around.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=172154#p172154

yeah. That's fun to mess arround with. I once managed to play through the whole game with my main character as a cavebat something. That was quite fun and very challenging.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=172122#p172122

Re: Entombed with NVDA?

has anyone found the polymorph bug in Entombed very interesting? For example, I polymorphed my half-elf thief character as a ratkin then I can give her a secondary job as shaman. I had once a half-elf wanderer shaman, and that was very cool.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=172106#p172106

Hi.Entombed has screen reader support. Go to settings and change speech engine. You've got system access, Jaws, Window-eyes or SAPI or Microsoft Speech API as it calls it.There is no NVDA support.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=168539#p168539

Re: Entombed with NVDA?

Hi.@Bestintheworld, entombed doesn't have screen reader support so you can only use sapi. I don't know what language entombed is written in but either the language doesn't have screen reader support or the developer has just never added it.@chris, entombed has always spoken descriptions like this there is just no way around this. I think people should email the developer and ask for screen reader support. Hopefully it would encourage him to add it. If we could use jaws or nvda I think it would fix the problem since sapi rarely reads things the right way.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=168530#p168530

Re: Entombed with NVDA?

Hi.Well, I used to have a System Access to NVDA driver, but I got rid of it because I had issues. If anyone can help me with this I would really appreciate it as I hate using SAPI with Entombed and don't want to use Window-eyes/jaws/system access. So, my issue is that when I fight something, the speech pauses when I attack and speaks the whole thing back as a string when another character is ready to fight something, meaning the next time the fight menu comes up.Why does this driver do this? Is this a bug with the driver or Entombed?Honestly, I think Jason should add native NVDA support to Entombed.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=168466#p168466
