It has 3 bolt holes to hold it to the radiator top plate instead of 2 like the 69-72's. As long as you have the same top plate, get the shroud for the engine in the car, not what radiator is in it. Big blocks are 2 inches longer than a small block which brings the fan closer to the radiator. If you put a big block shroud on a small block car, the fan will not sit in the shroud where it needs to be making it ineffective. Tom

Re: [Chevelle-list] OT - Used "new" car warranty
The new owner needs to do the transfer of warranty. There will be a charge to him for this process. The old owner only needs to provide the information about the warranty for the new owner. It's not a problem and the new owner should have done the transfer at the time the vehicle was presented at the dealership. They should have guided him in the transfer. Not sure why they didn't unless the new owner expects you to pay for transfer! This has been done at my dealership with no problem and the warranty was performed and new owner sent on his way. The reason I ask is I sold my Joe Gibb Silverado and within the first week the new owner lunched second gear. He took it to the dealer and was told he needs to transfer the warranty. I have no clue. Re: [Chevelle-list] OT - Used "new" car warranty
I am a General Motors dealer. The new car warranty should last 36 months or 36,000 miles whichever happens first. If either of these has been reached then in theory the new car warranty is over. If neither has been reached then the warranty is in effect. The new owner has no responsibility for transferring the warranty. The warranty stays with the vehicle. [Chevelle-list] ACES Members
Wow! Great to see all the ACES members on here. Hope to see y'all at Chevell-abration... if not this year, then at a future event. And if you can't attend, maybe one of the ACES Regionals works better for you. We're kicking off The ACES event schedule this weekend with an event in Gainesville, GA. Other Regionals include Baltimore, Niagara Falls, Kansas City, Denver, and Seattle. And here's some inside info for those of you that like to drive your Chevelles and El Caminos... The Kansas city event will also be the starting point for another "Chevelles Across Ameri-Cruise," similar to the one we did last year. The following weekend will find us cruisin' into Denver, and the weekend after that we'll be in Seattle. It's open to any and all Chevelle enthusiasts who want to get out on the open road (don't have to be an ACES Member), and stay for one leg, two legs, a week, or for the entire trip. Details will be forthcoming as plans are finalized, and will be posted on the Team Chevelle "Cruisin'" forum. It may not be as big a deal as the Hot Rod Power Tour, but the good times and memories of last year's "Chevelles Across Ameri-Cruise" were enough to make me want to try and put together another one for this year. Naturally, for ACES Members, more info will also be contained in upcoming issues of Chevelle World Magazine. Thanks for the bandwidth, and thanks again to all ACES Members for your continued support! Chuck

[Chevelle-list] 68 fan shroud
I lost the original fan shroud for my 68 El Camino, 327 Powerglide years ago. During that time the radiator was replaced with a 4 core unit. Now that I want to get a shroud back on it, should I buy a shroud for a small block or one for a big block? The clips are still in place in the bottom of the radiator supports to hold it, and the speed nuts are there in the top. I just need to get the right unit to put in. I'm worried that a small block unit won't fit since this is a deeper radiator than what was in there as stock. Kevin Riel
