You also need the Java client on your PC as you do with the 2900/3500XL series switches for HTTP based management. If you can't find info in the docs, look at the latest product software version release notes. That's why all the new feature documentation usually lies. RE: Cat 4000 Switch
Title: RE: Cat 4000 Switch I just looked at a 4000 switch we have here and didn't see anything either. In the CiscoPress BCMSN book (Page 374-375) It says "Cisco IOS software now allows you to use a Web browser to issue Cisco IOS commands to your network device." Ver 11.0(6) and later. I couldn't find anything about using Http management via a set based switch. Although I do have it working on a 2912XL and it works great. Diagrams and everything. Hope that helps, Joey -Original Message- From: Paul Wiliams [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, November 29, 2000 4:25 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Cat 4000 Switch I've downloaded the complete Cat 4000 Switch manual, but cannot find the command to enable management via http.
