[Bug 395299] Re: gdm 2.26 has no graphical configuration tool
There was a small utility (see comment #42) that was released for Ubuntu 9.10. Unfortunately, if the tool is missing in Ubuntu 11.04, it can't be fixed because new features are not added to released versions. Ubuntu 11.10 will be using lightdm by default instead of gdm. So while you're welcome to open a bug explaining what you'd like lightdm to do, there's not as much interest or developer time to work on a graphical tool for gdm. GDM 3 was a complete rewrite by GNOME of what used to be in Ubuntu and does not support theming. I believe LightDM allows for theming but it's so new that themes haven't really been written (no distro ships LightDM by default yet). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/395299 Title: gdm 2.26 has no graphical configuration tool To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gdm/+bug/395299/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 181244] Re: libcdio GPL/license violation
Let me repeat again: The maintainer of libcdio admits that libcdio contains code from cdda2wav and the code crom cdda2wav is available under GPLv2-only or under CDDL but not under different licenses. Note: this is an official statement from the cdda2wav author. BTW: This is not the only software where the FSF intentionally ignores legal rules. It took me 10 years and the help from Suse to finally convince the FSF to make vcdimager a legal program. An additional problem with libcdio is that is gets called from GNOME via LGPL libraries. Calling GPLd code from non-GPLd code is not legally possible. This is why the Sun legal department decided in 2006 already, to bann libcdio from their distribution and replaced it by a new library that is based on the original cddfa2wav code. This new solution is fully legal and gives even better audio extraction properties. So why is Ubunto not interested in being legal and still distributes a non-legal solution even though alegal alternative exists? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gst-plugins-ugly0.10 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/181244 Title: libcdio GPL/license violation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gst-plugins-ugly0.10/+bug/181244/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 578380] Re: Can't print from evince
Something I didn't think to ask before is to check that your printer has PS error message printing enabled. Looking at the Lexmark T644 menus and messages manual at: http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/t640/eng/menumess.pdf there is a setting under the PostScript menu for enabling the printing of PostScript errors. Which version of gnome-terminal are you using? Please use the HelpReport This Bug feature or run ubuntu-bug nameofsoftware in the future to have this information included with your bug report automatically. This is not a Ubuntu design bug or a light-themes issue so I marked that as invalid for those projects. ** Changed in: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete ** Changed in: light-themes Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/814581 Title: Gnome terminal's tabs are too long To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/814581/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 814581] Re: Gnome terminal's tabs are too long
Actually, on second thought, I don't believe this is a bug. There's nothing wrong with tabs in a terminal taking up all available space. In fact, it makes it easier to select the desired tab. ** Changed in: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/814581 Title: Gnome terminal's tabs are too long To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/814581/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 301035] Re: Place an Ubuntu icon/emblem on the system partition
The upstream does not say that a change to Nautilus would be a hack. It says that the patch to gvfs should be submitted in the gvfs bug tracker.
