[Bug 982889] Re: X trying to start before plymouth has finished using the drm driver
After all the proposed packages work fine here. I've installed them on 2 laptops and a desktop (all suffering from this issue ) and been using them for a week. I started up these hosts several times a day and for the sake of testing I also rebooted them a couple of times every day and each time lightdm started as expected. [Bug 982307] Re: unity shows sometimes the desktop on desktop unlock dialog
I have also experienced this bug, also intermittently as per the OP. My laptop is pretty sluggish: once or twice, having awoken it from sleep mode, the normal desktop/dash/open apps have been shown for long enough that I can actually briefly interact with them (change active window, type text, etc) before the lock screen / password prompt appears. The slowest time, there would just about have been enough time for a quick person to open a terminal and do an `rm -r /` or similar. [Bug 1184363] Re: Default Applications offers only Firefox even though Epiphany is also installed
I investigated. All that's going on here is that Saucy still has Epiphany 3.6, whose .desktop file doesn't mention x-scheme-handler/http, which is currently necessary for gnome-control-center to recogize an application as a Web browser. Epiphany 3.8's .desktop file does include this MIME type, so the problem will go away when Saucy updates to Epiphany 3.8 (which I hope will happen soon). So this is not a gnome- control-center bug. [Bug 1184421] [NEW] It doesn't display the text of the pdf, only numbers and mathematic symbols/letters
Public bug reported: 1)Ububtu 13.4 2)evince 3.6.1-1ubuntu3 3)View pdf 4)Incomplete display as all the words were missing.
