[Bug 575389] Re: Only HD video out of sync with sound
Firstly there is the web-based scenario where I just click on the links in comment #24. Geek Brief HD (GeekBeat.TV (HD)?) is an embedded Flash video. So GStreamer is not involved, unless you use one of the available Firefox addons to download the file and then play it back in Totem. I'm also seeing the issue there, which means there is a problem with the Linux version of Adobe's proprietary Flash player. Of course Canonical and Ubuntu don't provide support for proprietary software. Buzz report plays fine because it is a pure video stream and is opened by the Totem plugin for Firefox. However One can launch Totem and then choose Open Location... from the Movie menu. In this case Buzz report plays fine but Geek Brief HD still has the issue. [Bug 622344] Re: evince crashed with signal 5 in g_malloc()
I can't make evince crash with either of the PDF documents attached to this bug report, but I am having a lot of difficulty selecting text with the mouse. I am having the same difficulty with some PDF files which I have on a USB flash drive. The first time I click and drag a section of text it is usually not selected. On the second or third attempt at clicking and dragging the same section of text it is usually selected, but the selection does not always correspond exactly to what I was attempting to select - sometimes it is only a rough match, starting or finishing too early. I'm using Maverick alpha 3.
