If nothing else works: Make a copy of the document and rename it adequately. Delete all measures before and after the desired movement. Deleting measures (using the Edit menu) will mess up the layout. You should be able to preserve the layout of the movement if you delete staff Systems with the Page Layout Tool. Making adjustments as you describe in Preview on Mac is pretty easy. Preview is great for combining/splitting PDFs. What I am doing however is a one-off version with a reduced instrumentation, so the PDF doesn't work. Deleting systems is probably gonna be the way to go for me. At least I'm gonna try it when the time comes.
