RE: [Finale] Text Expr Designer_bug? Fin 2006 (Mac)

2005-09-12 Thread Fisher, Allen
I can see it now. I'm not quite sure why it worked the first time
(mayhaps I was in the text tool without realizing it), but I can see
this. It has been documented. Thanks guys.

It does not work here!

G4 10.3.9 Finale 2006

Javier.

Anyone else noticed that Line Spacing is disabled in the Text
Expression Designer dialog box? Even if this menu item is available,
nothing happens when you try to select it (with or without the
 expression itself highlighted).

I'll report it when / if someone on the list can corfirm it as a bug.

I thought I remember hearing that this was a known issue - a feature
that was added, but not finished in the Mac version, or something to
that effect. Maybe I assumed this. For me, the Line Spacing menu
item is there, but nothing happens when I select it.

Nothing other than FinGPO is running.

Yes, I've had the same results. Line spacing works fine for me in the
Text Tool only. If I try to edit text anywhere else, the Line Spacing
option can not be selected.

There's an issue with resource sharing amongst Audio Units that is causing
some problems. I thought that maybe that was related. It doesn't appear to
be.

It shows up fine in the menu, but when you click on it, or type in
the shortcut, the dialog box fail to appear.

I'm also on 10.4 but Dual G5.
Both computer I installed Finale 2006 on display the same problem.

No. Do you mean Finale 2006 being set to playback using another AU
than GPO?
I have the Symphonic JamPack for GarageBand but have made no attempt
to use it with Finale 2006. Not even sure it's possible.

I don't have 2006, but I remember in other apps I have been able to
fake it by adding a space at the end of a line in a different point
size, effectively changing the line spacing. This might help you in the
mean time.

I've also experimented this bug last week, and I will definitely
write to macsupport to report it.
