[Freevo-users] Fresh Install, configuration help needed!
Ok folks, I just did a fresh install of 1.5.3, and I'm needing some MAJOR help (looked through the Wiki, googled forever, and still can't get it). Here's my situation... I'm on a dual-monitor setup (NOT using xinerama), and I'd like Freevo to display on the second monitor. That part I can do easily enough. BUT, when I watch tv, it comes up in the upper-left corner of the screen (monitor's display is 1024x768) instead of full-screen. The Freevo menus all come up full-screen with no problem at all. BUT, when I exit Freevo, the monitor is resized somehow. The icons on that screen are HUGE, and I have to scroll down about 2 screens worth just to see the taskbar. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to fix this? Thanks! --- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users. [Freevo-users] Auto executing scripts in freevo? (Was: Re: ATI Remote and Keybindings)
ok, a little digging around, and i found starting X11 first then execute xmodmap -e "keycode 54 = Escape" gave me the desired result, but for some reason Debian isnt looking at .xmodmap or /etc/X11/xinit/ or even when i specify it in ~/.xinitrc, so it only works when X11 is actually up. [Freevo-users] DirectFB
I tried installing the new DirectFB 0.9.21 and SDL 1.2.8 and it failed miserably (I got everything working except the TV was scrambled), so I tried falling back onto DirectFB 0.9.20 and SDL 1.2.7 which has been working for a couple years now. When I go to start Freevo, I get: Can't find all Python dependencies: libfusion-0.9.so.21: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Not all requirements of Freevo are installed on your system. Please check the INSTALL file for more informations. Have any ideas? Re: [Freevo-users] mplayer problem
I found I had to add a -vc argument. yours will be different, but I had to use -vc ffmpeg12mc to use xvmc to play TV. Rande mplayer plays movie and audio files just fine but doesn't seem to be able to get input from my TV tuner card. (This is the last thing I need to finish before finally getting this thing into my living room.) Has anyone else had this problem? It looks like it sees the tv signal OK. [Freevo-users] Working alternatives for mplayer with long recordings?
Long recordings in mencoder, and the playbacks in mplayer are unsuable. It doesn't just play. Probably this behaviour is related to mplayer itself rather then freevo. I'm already using one of the latest mplayers available [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# rpm -q mplayer mplayer-1.0-0.14.pre6a.1.fc2.rf As a workaround, I could split recording into two parts. (didn't try to do this with transcode yet) Anybody has some usefull hints/tips to solve this? I think the problem of FREEVO hanging forever on scanning directory containing bad DVD rips or bad MPEG stream and inf freevo cache is in the mmpython/video/mpeginfo.py file. My version of mmpython is actually a 0.4.8 on gentoo. (i couldn't check this on CVS version) At line 635 of mpeginfo.py there it seems a debugging line left for error: #if offset + 1000 < len(buffer) and len(buffer) < 100 or 1: I think it should be: if offset + 1000 < len(buffer) and len(buffer) < 100: --ET PS: For some reasons, i don't know why my messages sent as Mercurietto weren't published and i cannot access anymore to addons pages with my account. --- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
