Could someone please give an in-depth rundown of this game including what you 
can do in it? I have tried looking around the Internet for such information, 
there as hardly been anything posted about this game. I am certainly intrigued, 
but I would like to know more first.

one of the reasons I don't play it, the hunger and thirst mechanics
are stupid set so fast, they don't really allow you to do much of
anything else.

Hi John,

I cannot really say with any certainty when the next release will be 
coming, as I work on it only in my spare time which is not nearly as 
plentiful as
it used to be. But I'm more than happy to send out test builds to those 
who are interested in a particular upcoming feature.


Regarding PPMD, I had a look but could not find any official SDK for it. 
I think I will stick with LZMA as it does well on general purpose data, 
and then
potentially extend it with more specific compression schemes later. 
However, the compression is meant to be rather simple and easy to use so 
I'm not looking

to implement all the possible options such as background threads etc.

If you want to try a build when it is available, feel free to drop me a 
line and I will keep you posted on progress.

done some tinkering with both Zlib and LZMA. For data with high
redundancy such as text, both of these work very well - LZMA scores
higher when it comes to compression ratio but is also significantly
slower than Zlib in my tests. Of course the compression level will be
configurable, which should give you the ability to find a reasonable
balance between compression ratio/speed. I can't say when the next
official release will be out, but I can certainly give you some test
binaries to play around with if you need this feature quickly since it's
almost done anyway.

The specter of saving/loading games is moving closer and closer, and its
starting to look like my save games may have to be rather large (we're

play here - specifically a really limited ability to work with binary
files and a UTF-8 only string setup.

If anybody could pull me out of the fire on this one it'd be really
appreciated - I'm just not creative enough to find a way to shrink saved
games while maintaining all the needed information, so compression is
looking like the best/only option currently available.

Hi list:

 

I was wondering if there are any survive the wild players here?

 

If so I was hoping someone would be able to give me some help.

 

I just started to play and have some issues which maybe I do not understand
and could help me with.

 

1.   When I go into the game it is like I am already ready to die. I can
go with thirst of 81 energy of 362 hunger 562 health 850 so it looks as
though my stats are reasonable.

I go in and get a clay and create pots. I am in the water and get water and
drink. I try to create more pots and even though I am in the water I get a
message that my throat hurts and the moisture is getting sucked out of my
throat.

 

I drink but as soon as I do, my thirst is at 800 and shortly thereafter I
die.

 

I can't get to where I can get a fishing pole etc for I die to fast to do
anything else.

 

Am I missing something or can someone give me a idea on what I should do?

 

I die so fast that I can't do anything but as said get water and then die.

 

If anyone can help me with this game I would appreciate it. I must be
missing something for it makes no sense that 3 minutes after I start the
game I die.

try getting your thirst and hunger down to 0 or 1. get lots of water oh 
to get your hunger down you will have to fish for fish or look for and 
get berries.

well it is an open world game where your goal is just to survive. you 
can cut down trees, make fires, make bows and arrows and shoot at people 
others players. you can make pots out of clay and drink water and just 
explore around the maps or even make a boat and paddle and cross the 
ocean to the city. you can also make a fishing pole and lore and fish 
and cook the fish and eat them after you prepare the fish of course. you 
can fish in the ocean or in the streams. you can climb trees, sleep in 
trees or on the ground, dive under water in the swamp and things. get 
water bottles from the fishing village to carry more water. you can go 
to the abandoned campsight get metal from the fence and combine it with 
other stuff to make a compass. and lots more. its like audio minecraft. 
its still in development and is frequently updated. it is a server based 
game all maps are on the server there are usually 20 to 50 or 100 
players on at a time. you can chat with other players in or out of 
character. more areas are always being made more game updates with more 
and more sounds and stuff.

If anyone can help me with this game I would appreciate it. I must be
missing something for it makes no sense that 3 minutes after I start the
game I die.

There is a forum page and there are walk throughs. I did a google search on
the game and was easy to find.


The things which are ahrd is to know what the food and such levels are good.
Also I have not found a page or such which tells all the things you could
make. It is a fun game but a little frustrating as you first learn.
