Re: [Hardhats-members] CPRS/Wine in Linux - Ole control activation failed :-(
I have been reading about debugging in Wine and I gave it a whirl, replacing a Wine dll with a Windows dll after determining which dlls were getting called before the error. That, so far, has only made things worse. The wine documentation for debugging is very interesting and they have a lot of tools to use to debug with, but it is all too tempting to get lost in trying when I have lots of things I need to do before next Wednesday! I am certainly looking forward to getting your help when I get there. To All, I forgot I have a valid CX OFfice license. I am running SuSE at home. I'll get the current copy of CPRS and try to get it running. Pat Well, I did all of the things I said I would and then some to no avail. Re: [Hardhats-members] Fileman drop-out on pointer update
A quick look at the DI* routines I have (which are old), leads me to suggest that you look at the DD for the file defining ^AUPNPAT. Look at ^AUPNPAT(0) to find the file number and then look at ^DD(file number,0,"SCR") and I'm guessing you'll find the culprit there as "I '$P(^DPT(Y,0),U,19)". If that is the problem then someone should review the "SCR" nodes to ensure there are no similar problems lurking... Of course the other problem is how to restart the process, and unfortunately I don't have any suggestions on that issue. [Hardhats-members] CPRS/Wine in Linux - OLE error with Reports tab
Update: Thanks to William Wong's suggestion Nancy tested the Reports Tabit was late and it was the only tab we didn't try. When you do try to use it you get an OLE errorafter that the other tabs still work on my system but the File, Edit, etc. pull down menus stop working. It would be terrific and very helpful if others could "test" this Linux client alternative and report back on the errors they are getting. The better we can describe the errors etc. the easier it will be to put in a request to Codweavers to get an estimate for addressing the problem or to seek help from other forums. What I can commit to is finding the resources to overcome the last few hurdles...as Nancy said porting CPRS to Linux will help make the number of potential VistA adopters and contributors mushroom exponentially...this is a critical success factor to long term viability outside of the VAwhether you are a vendor or a user. I notice that it doesnt work on a vista installation on another system. Has anyone gotten it to work on another system?
